Alumina Bi-fold Doors by Liniar
A fully aluminium 70mm bi-fold, designed and made by Liniar in Derbyshire. Strong enough for spans up to 8.5 metres, warm enough for U-values as low as 1.2 W/m²K, and finished to match Liniar windows, made to measure by our trade-approved installers.
Built by Liniar
Liniar designs, makes and tests its window and door systems at its own facility in Denby, Derbyshire, backed by parent company Quanex. Alumina is Liniar’s aluminium bi-fold, designed to sit alongside its uPVC windows in matching colours and styling, then fabricated to measure and fitted by our trade-approved installers.
Why choose Alumina
Taller, wider, stronger
Being fully aluminium, Alumina spans further than uPVC bi-folds: up to 7 panels, 8.5 metres wide overall and 2.5 metres tall.
Warm and comfortable
A polyamide thermal lock stops heat escaping through the lock, and triple glazing brings U-values as low as 1.2 W/m²K.
Highly secure
Multiple bi-directional locking points, shootbolts into the track, anti-lift features and anti-bump cylinders. Secured by Design, PAS 24 and Part Q accredited.
Matches your windows
Sculptured styling and the same colours and woodgrain foils as Liniar’s uPVC windows, so doors and windows look like one set.
Step-free option
A choice of five thresholds, including a Part M compliant low threshold that suits wheelchair users.
Weathertight
Liniar’s patented bubble gasket seals each panel against wind and rain, and the aluminium is fully recyclable at the end of its life.
Configurations
Alumina can be built with up to 7 panels, all folding to one side or split both ways, with French-door and single-door versions for narrower openings. Filter by number of panels to see each layout.

How to read the code: the first number is the total panels, the second and third are how many fold to each side, so a 7/6/1 is seven panels with six folding one way and one the other. Each panel can be up to 1.2m wide and 2.5m tall.
