Who they are

Built by Smart Systems, part of the Corialis Group

Smart Systems has grown over forty years into the UK’s leading supplier of aluminium glazing systems, manufacturing from its own facility in Yatton with an in-house powder-coating line — keeping quality and lead times in-house rather than farmed out to a third party.

Why choose Alitherm Heritage

The steel window look, without the steel window problems

Approved for listed buildings & conservation areas

Already accepted by the London Boroughs of Islington, Camden and Tower Hamlets, Watford Borough Council and Essex County Council, plus Cadw, the Welsh Government’s historic environment service.

Signature slim sightlines

A modern, like-for-like replacement for traditional steel windows and doors, designed to keep the sightlines and profile proportions planners and conservation officers expect.

A ‘B’ Energy Rating

Polyamide thermally-broken profiles deliver a U-value of 1.5 W/m²K — polyamide’s thermal conductivity is around 160 times better than steel, cutting heat loss and condensation risk.

PAS 24:2016 enhanced security

Multi-point locking with face-mounted finger-thrown locking bolts as standard, tested to the enhanced security performance standard.

Heritage-style hardware

Monkey Tail, Bulb-End and Art-Deco window and door handles echo genuine Victorian and Art Deco ironmongery, finished to match.

Built to outlast steel

Aluminium doesn’t rust, so there’s no repainting or re-varnishing — just an occasional wipe-clean, with a typical 40-year lifespan against a steel window’s 35 (source: BRE British Research Establishment).

Styles & configurations

One heritage system, five ways to open it

Alitherm Heritage windows are built as a series of horizontal modules, stacked using couplers with a specially-designed drip bar between them — so a whole multi-part elevation can be specified in one consistent, steel-look system.

Colours & finishes

An unrivalled choice of colour

Alitherm Heritage is powder-coated in-house across the same four Smart Systems colour collections as the rest of the Alitherm range — filter by collection, then click a swatch for a closer look. Dual-colour capability means the interior and exterior can run different finishes.
