Built by Cortizo

Cortizo has designed and made aluminium and PVC systems for architecture since 1972, from its home in Padrón, Spain, and is Spain’s leading company in the field. The Bi-fold Plus is extruded in Cortizo’s own 6063 T-5 aluminium alloy, then fabricated to measure and fitted by our trade-approved installers.

Why choose Cortizo Bi-fold Plus

Slimmer where it counts

Where two panels meet, the sightline is just 110mm, and 89.5mm at the frame edge, so you see more glass and less aluminium.

Warm all year

A 45mm polyamide thermal break in both frame and sash gives a U-value from 0.78 W/m²K, depending on configuration and glass.

Tall, heavy-duty panels

Each sash can be up to 1,200mm wide, 3,000mm tall and 120kg, glazed with units from 25mm to 48mm thick.

Security tested

Passed the PAS 24 security test on a three-panel 2.70 × 2.50m reference door, and cycle-tested to 50,000 openings on the main sash.

Open corners

Outward-opening sets can turn a 90° corner with no corner post, so two walls of the room fold away completely.

Weather tested

Class 4 air permeability, Class E750 water tightness and Class C3 wind resistance, tested on a 3.73 × 2.50m three-panel set.

Configurations

Bi-fold Plus can be built with anything from 1 to 14 panels, opening inward or outward, all to one side or split both ways. Filter by number of panels to see the most popular layouts.

How to read the code: the first number is the total panels, the second and third are how many fold to each side, so a 7/6/1 is seven panels with six folding one way and one the other. Larger sets up to 14 panels, and 90° open corners on outward-opening doors, are available on request.
